Stevie is my straight A student. She loves to read and excels in all her studies. There are times, though, that I wonder about her...seems what she gains in book smarts, she sometimes lacks in common sense. She often says things that prove to be absolutely hilarious. She used to get pretty upset whenever I'd share a story with someone or remind her, but over time, she has come to appreciate the humor in those moments.
The latest moment is the one I'm going to share...
After our vacation, I uploaded many of our vacation pictures on flickr. I have so many wonderful contacts that share in our daily lives through these photos and after all the shots were uploaded I thought it would be fun to play some guessing games in regard to our vacation. One of the questions was "How many miles did we travel?" I must insert a break here and explain that we started out our vacation with a little car trouble. The first stop was a convenience store for gas and when we went to leave, the car would not start. So, one of my contacts guessed 1 1/2 miles, based on that. I decided that when I revealed the "real" answer, that I would also include that little jaunt. When I was driving to get that figure, I explained all of this to Stevie. Her response was, "well, it could be more or less depending on how fast you drive".

It's OK to laugh...we did! : )

Last night, Makenzie was supposed to be drawing a bath for herself. She came running into my bedroom informing me that we were all out of warm water. I said that couldn't be possible, because no one had bathed yet. She responded, "all we have is hot!"
