Being a parent has a multitude of blessings...but, by far, the hardest part has to be when your child is hurt or sick.
Makenzie broke her nose tonight. It was a clean break, and Lord willing, will require no medical intervention.
She's sleeping calmly now...thank goodness for Motrin.

She actually said this to me! I either need to give her a recent history lesson or start using Oil of Olay wrinkle reducer!

Sunday morning, I called to my husband, Doug. I was being silly and pretending that he was "in trouble", so I used his formal name, "Douglas". Makenzie overheard and she came up to me and said, "I didn't know that Dad's middle name was Lus."
OMGoodness, I laughed all day!
