"The Moon"
When Stevie was a toddler, she pointed up to the night sky and said, "look, Mommy, the moon!". On that particular night, the moon was a crescent and I replied, "Yes, it's a crescent moon". Stevie responded, "crescent moon, Mommy", and from then on, she knew the difference between a full moon and a crescent.
When Makenzie was a toddler, she pointed up to the night sky and said, "look, Mommy, the moon!" Once again, it was a night with a crescent moon and so I said, "Yes, it's a crescent moon". Makenzie's response was quite different, "NO! Mommy, it's the moon!"
Amazing how children can be so different...
"Train a child in the way he should go, and when he is old he will not turn from it." ~Proverbs 22:6
We should take the time to learn our children's God-given bents and guide them accordingly...
